CONDITIONS ON WHICH BOOKINGS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BEFORE BOOKING.

Bookings will only be confirmed and accepted by Devon Carriages once a route survey has been carried out by one of Devon Carriages staff members.  This ensures that the route is drivable by a horse and carriage, and no threat exists to any persons or horses.

Bookings will only be accepted on a signed Devon Carriages booking form.

An  approximate TOTAL OF 6 MILES FOR THE DAY should be taken into consideration when planning the route - distances more than this should be discussed before booking.

Customers must notify Devon Carriages of any hills on the preferred route and realise that horse drawn vehicles have limitations and the carriage driver must retain the right to alter the preferred route.

To eliminate the possibility of damage to the interior of the carriages, clients are not allowed to drink or smoke whilst in the carriages.  Further charges will be incurred for any damage to the carriage caused by irresponsible behavior of any guests.

A non-returnable deposit of £100 is required to secure the day when returning the booking form.  The balance is to be paid at least 8 weeks before the event or upon receipt of our Invoice.

Devon Carriages will make every effort to provide the turnout requested, but must retain the right of substitution in cases of illness to horses and /or damage to the vehicles.

Customers must bring to the attention of the coachman, or a representative of Devon Carriages, anything that is not to their satisfaction.  We will endeavor to correct any problems that you may have with our service as swiftly and courteously as possible.

CANCELLATION TERMS;

In the event of the booking being cancelled, the client must notify Devon Carriages immediately in writing, failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee at the discretion of Devon Carriages.

Devon Carriages reserve the right to cancel if our horses become ill and no suitable replacement can be found, or the carriage is damaged and cannot be repaired in in time.  This has never happened but should be brought to your attention.  Any monies paid to Devon Carriages will be refunded in full should this happen.

No refunds will be entertained once the 8 weeks before the wedding has elapsed.  Customer’s book wedding carriages many many months before the wedding date, and therefore we are unlikely to replace with another booking in such a short time.
